The recent wave of high tech office leasing that has rolled through the San Francisco Bay Area (and beyond) in the last decade has truly transformed office leasing.  In the past, office leasing was often viewed as “cookie cutter”.  With the advent of high tech, issues from density to dogs to exit strategies to securitization to subleasing have re-invigorated this practice area.  And over all, we are experiencing a fascinating intergenerational dialogue between millennials, Gen X and baby boomers.  Jo Ann has enormously enjoyed being part of this new wave of leasing and is privileged to work with a number of companies at the forefront of the high tech revolution.

  • Represented Lyft in their 2016 China Basin Landing headquarters lease of 93,000 square feet from McCarthy Cook/JP Morgan in San Francisco, California.
  • Represented Lyft in a sublease of 110,000 square feet from DropBox at China Basin Landing in San Francisco, California.
  • Represented Twilio in their 2016 headquarters lease of 91,000 square feet from Bay Area Headquarters Authority in the newly-refurbished former World War II tank assembly plant-turned-U.S. Postal Service facility in San Francisco, California.
  • Represented GoPro in their 2015 San Mateo headquarters lease of 300,000 square feet.
  • Represented SquareTrade in their 2012 headquarters lease from Kilroy Realty Corp. at 360 Third Street, San Francisco, California.
  • Represented the Mizono Family Trust in connection with lease renewal with Google of a stand-alone building located in the DogPatch area of San Francisco.
