Life science tenants require lab space, landlord’s permission for tenant’s use of biohazardous materials and chemicals (the specific elements may need to be kept highly confidential even from the landlord) as well as a backup power source to prevent damage to on-going scientific experiments during a power outage.  Jo Ann has enjoyed learning about this dynamic area of the commercial real estate leasing world and meeting the scientists who are at the cutting edge of scientific research.
